Well, MBA is not a course conducted by one professional body...So Forget about exemptions.... And if you are thinking of doing MBA fater CA, you better do it from a Tier 1 college...Else it is a TOTAL waste.... The lacs of rupees you cough up + lacs foregone as earning after becoming a CA + growth prospects foregone after working at a same place for 2 years... The MBA you do should make up for all these...

thats right ..........

its better to have some job experience after compleing CA and may be after taht do your MBA.

That will be more beneficial according to me

Hi Anshul..

I think you can go for a correspondence course in MBA as CA course design makes it tough to pursue a regular one..moreover CA+MBA of course has good worth...Good Luck

Well, I beg to differ Sunali...But MBA as a course has all its Brand value because it gives students an insight in the corporate world, soft skills, presentations, projects, etc etc...... Distance MBA has none of these... Distance MBA has more or less the same value as pursuing a post grad course ie - Masters...

If one has to go for post graduation, MBA from a Tier1 coll is the best choice, I totally agree with koolleo that it should make up for the earnings foregone and the experience, but you should also consider the college experience, money wil come and go college life wil never return.

If theres anything i miss in life its the college time that my law, b.com and bca students enjoyed..All the hard work wil pay crap is just justification from those who have no choice but to defend it..

Some wil come here and argue against it, but like i said they have no choice but to defend it, and have been steriotyped into believing in it..Also MBA lends you the dynamism that very few students in CA have..the knowledge of a CA and the dynamism combined theres no looking back..

:-)

Let us look a part of Anshul s question once again... '' what are the opportunities for CA students to take up MBA ''..... So, Did Mr Anshul by opportunities meant a chance to go to college again ?? A chance to go to do timepass ?? A chance to enjoy college time ?? .......... If that is the case Mr Anshul might be happier by doing BCom, then BA, then LLB, then BMS, then BMM, etc etc...So that he can enjoy college life throughout his life....... ... @ PARTY....Dude, No offence meant...But what Mr Anshul meant was that he was looking for opportunity to make the best of his time CAREER WISE... you are right that college life should be enjoyed... But this post is not meant to descrive the merits of college life...

Why dont you leave the moderation of the posts to the mods instead of personally attacking everyone?

Everyone has the right to their opinio, if you cant bear that then go die..

ha Ha...Chill.... Dude, I didnt mean to offend you. What I meant was you interpreted Anshul's question but not in the way he wanted us to......
Anyways, let us let Anshul decide for himself based on our posts... No point taking this debate further.....

Well sometimes people dont think in a certain manner, making them realise a point they may totally forget is nothing wrong..

I've seen your posts and apart from the silly punctuations, you're quite fond of writing sensational posts and fizz out equally fast when you see the atmosphere changing..

So why dont you think twice before you post next time? it'l be  a great service to us poor souls on this website..
