my client filed ret of ay 11-12 manualy after due date on 31 march 2012 in itd nd in that he forget to show income u/h cg nd exemptin u/s 54 nw he got air notice of 143(2) notice nd can he nw rectify return or he can file online return for that or wat else can he do please tel me waiting

Since your clinet has filed return after the due date, it turns to be a belated return. As per provisions of the income tax act, a belated return cannot be revised.

Hence, can't revise the return already filed.

Since a srcutiny notice has been issued by the department, comply with the same.
