If At AGM Audit report is submitted and new auditor is appointed at AGM in place of retiring auditor, but AGM is adjourned, then can old auditor continue to hold office untill completion of adjourned meeting or new auditor will hold office as the task of old auditor is completed?
Give ans with ref to Co Act 1956.
Appointment of auditor is till conclusion of AGM and new auditor is appointed from conclusion of AGM[Ref.Sec.139 of CA 2013]. Hence existing auditor willl continue till conclusion of adjourned meeting.
