Applicability of caro 2016 to pvt. ltd. co.

Dear All, One limited company has converted itself from limited to Pvt. Ltd. company in the month of July 2015. Criteria for CARO 2016 is not applicable to it as Pvt. Ltd. Co. However since it is limited company for initial part of the year whether CARO 2016 applicable to it or not ? Also if CARO 2016 is not applicable to any Pvt. Co., then what is the format of audit report for FY 2015-16. Thanks
