A few queries

1. How can i know which firm is apt for me?

Ans : Practice after CA or Job . if job is your aim join only big firm 

2. When i have selected a firm, how can i know if there is any vacancy available?

Ans: Search in caclubindia,casansar, ca firm sites and similar sites

3. How to approach the firm regarding doing articleship, through mail, or manually?

Ans : Big Firms you need to submit mail

4. Where to go, in Big4 or Other Big firms, or Mediocre firms? Please discuss the Pros and Cons in detail. I kindly request you to answer this in very detail.

Ans : Personal Opinion Go for Bigger Firms . Medicre firms will frustrate you after 3 years due to no substantial work done. It will be like waste time after articleship  due to chillar works done and no personality development.

5. Is it so that in Big4 we will have expertise in one field and absolutely no knowledge of other field?

Ans: Yes , you will work probably in one department.

6. Can I ask my principal for increased Stipend?

Ans: in mediocre firm you can ask your principal

My recommendation is solely on Personality Development and Amount of Work you can learn in Big Firm.
