One of my client is starting a new business of purchasing dryfruits in bulk and packing & selling them under a unregistered brand name at a big scale. Whether this amounts to manufacture as per excise act, also please let me know what are the other regulations applicable to this concept.
For your information they will be doing all this trade by way of forming a company form of organisation. Regards,

It will fall under the deemed manufacture. Liabelling or re-labelling of containers or repacking from bulk packs to retail packs of preparations of vegetables, fruits, nuts etc shall amounts to manufacture.
