Its very urgent.

Can u provide me the notification which states that assembly election day to be declared a mandatory public holiday.

21 November 2008 There won't be any notification to declare Election Day as a Public Holiday. Under govt notification the Election Day can be declared as Holiday under negotiable instruments act. It is not mandatory to declare holiday, however, the organization should allow the employees to go to the polling station to the eligible voters to cast his/her vote.
