Sir, I know that the vat is the value added tax in the commodity. I want to khow that whether the selling of minerals water by the hotel industries should collected the vat ? if yes what percent of vat should collect? Whether vat should collected from selling of cold drink by retailers?

There is no such restrictions that state Govt can not levy VAT on Mineral Water. Accordingly all the registered delaers(except who are under composite scheme) can collect VAT from purchasers at the rate prescribed by the State.
