Using name as india is illigal or not

26 September 2015 Hi,

If someone having proprietorship firm using name for exemple "Paramount Tools India" is illegal or legal.

Can a proprietor use such name or not

If it is illegal what is the penalty

26 September 2015 in my personal view.these name limitation doesn't apply to individual prop business,,, because in markets I had seen many such shops.. they need not any registration and all..

Using the name of INDIA is NOT at all ILLEGAL.

But the point is the GRACE that the word INDIA has got should be satisfied, isn't it?

Say a road side hawker or for that matter a small proprietor using the name INDIA in its trade name does'nt lokk good in the larger interest of our nation INDIA. Do you follow?

More than legal and illegal, it is the matter of PRIDE which we want to offer to our beloved mother nation INDIA called as Bharat,

As per the recent office instruction, the Shops and Establishment Officers have been instructed to see to it that the trade name under such circumstances does'nt carry such words like Govt, India, Vidyapeeth, University etc while granting the shops and establishment liscence
