Use of dsc by legal heir for filing tax return

14 October 2011 Dear ALL,

Please help me in one matter:

X is an assessee whose aacounts are liable for audit U/s 44 AB. But unfortunately the asseessee died on 22nd january 2011. Now i applied for the Dsc(digital signature) of his son Y.I talked to the aaykar sampark kendra and they suggested to send a mail with death cert. nd pan cards to the efiling.administrator@incometaxindia.gov.in.
I had send the mail 2-3 times but till now no response mail has been received.

I also called CPC nd they said to talk to Aaykar Samark Kendra.

Please suggest me friends as to what I should do.

14 October 2011 have you sent with the scanned copy of death certificate?, if not please send the reminder mail to
efiling.administrator@incometaxindia.gov.in / efiling@incometaxindia.gov.in mentioning the name, PAN,Date-of-Birth of deceased as well as that of the LH along with scanned attachment of the death certificate of the deceased.

I have already sent the scanned copies and the details of both the assessee and his legal heir.

In case problem remains unresolved, try the IT ombudsman route per clause 9 of the guidelines.
