Dear Sir, In fY 2013-14, total turnover of a service provided was Rs. 13 lacs and in fy 2014-15 his turnover would be around only 5 to 6 lacs.
Whether he has to collect and deposit service tax for the fy 2014-15 or he can claim exemption for the fy 2014-15 as his turnover would be below 10 lacs.

Service Tax needs to be levied, collected and paid for FY 2014-15. He can claim exemption for FY 2015-16 under the Notification No 33/2012.
