This query is : Resolved

01 January 2017 my wife teach small childrens home tution. So, his income we can show income from other sources (itr 1 or 2) or treated as professional income? my wife is just 10+2 pass out not any professional degree holder. and also earn some by stitching of clothes or sarees. please suggest.

01 January 2017 You have to file ITR 4

02 January 2017 ITR 1 CAN ALSO BE FILED SHOWING OTHER INCOME.

02 January 2017 many people suggest to file itr 4 but I do not want maintain any account books or record

02 January 2017 if I do not want to keep books of accounts, then I can file itr_1 or 2

03 January 2017 You should show income from tuition and stiching of cloth and sarees on presumptive basis u/s 44AD i.e. declaring 8% net profit on estimated gross receipts from tuition and stiching of clothes etc. There will be no requirement of books of account. You should show the same under income from business/profession head and accordingly file ITR-4.
