Transfering of tds from the assessee from his/her legal heir

01 January 2018 Dear sir, Assessee was government in service, and on his name TDS was deducted and lator on due to his sudden death, his pension is getting credited to his wife account , but tds is there in the assessee name. So, how do we transfer the TDS from assessee account to his wife account, as i have to file her income tax return. kindly advise.

01 January 2018 TDS or TDS certificate is not transferable. You need to contact the paying authority and ask them to rectify the TDS return.
Before this check the 26AS of both husband and wife. If amount is credited in wife's account then no action required.
