04 November 2014 Dear experts ,

I am a salaried employee in a state govt department . TDS deducted from my salary . I have a FD . I have a agriculture income also . I have given my agriculture land to my brother on lease . every year he gives me 60000 ( average of 15 years ) from last 15 years . Since i was receiving lease income i rarely used my salary income , i also used my agri income to make an fd , i have also received cash gifts from my father , mother and brothers also . I also made an fd with the help of those gift deeds .

Should i file an itr ? What should i do ?

04 November 2014 yes..you are required to file ITR as per law....mere deduction of taxes by govt is no excuse...

04 November 2014 Sir , till now i never filed , will it create any problem for me ? please suggest me how will i file itr with my agriculture income through lease agreement , fd interest , through gift deeds ? . i am also salaried employee . Will everything add into my salary income ? if yes then may tax slab will also change then from current year will i have to pay tax or from last 15 years ?

04 November 2014 agriculture income wont be added to taxable income...however, interest etc will be added...gifts from relatives also will be left out...

if there is any additional tax liability, you will have to pay it off..

the slab rate will depend on the total taxable income..

atleast file returns for FY 2012-13 and 2013-14
