25 June 2015 Sir

My father is a retired person

For the last three years bank has been deducting his tds @ 20% as his PAN was not updated by bank in the system

My father did not file any income tax return as his income was below taxable limit

Now my father want the refund of tds but how do i file the return when tds is mentioned only in the certificate given by bank but does not reflect in 26AS

Relevnat F.Years are 2012-13, 2013-14 & 2014-15

My query is how to claim the refund of TDS as tds amount is not reflected in 26AS

26 June 2015 You may ask the bank to revise their TDS return by furnishing PAN to them. Then only the TDS made by them will show in 26AS.

30 June 2015 YOU CAN FILE RETURN WITHIN SIX YEARS OF TAX DEDUCTED AT SOURCE. PLEASE SEE RECENT CBDT CIRCULAR IN THIS RESPECT.
