Tds credit without tds certificate

29 July 2012 Dear Experts,
My query is –
“Can an assessee claim the credit of TDS, even if he does not have the relevant TDS Certificate, merely on the basis of entry in the Form 26AS?”

29 July 2012 If the amount is visible in form 26AS, you should insist the deductor for form 16 or 16A as the case may be.

Definitely you can claim the credit, but you should ask for the certificate.

30 July 2012 Earlier u were filing return as tax payable now file it as refundable n claim the refund of extra payment of Rs. 1060/- n if u have already submitted the return then file revise return
