Hi I would like to know whether in case of 24 Q do i need to report the salary of previoue employer, as i have deducted TDS on the basis of total salary declared by the employee. However , this might be already reported by previous employer in their 24 Q and in such case 26AS of employee would shown tax deducted twice, one from prevoius employer & again from new employer.
So the question is as an employer do i report the prevoius year employer salary as i have deducted tax after taking previous employer salary into consideration.
Suppouse I report prevoius employer salary then in 24Q then do i need to again report the tds deducted on that or else it will be shown as short deduction.
In case i dont report previous employer salary then it will be shown as refund due

hw it is possible.. when u not mention ur previous salary to new Co. than how they deduct on TDS on ur earlier salary.. new co. deduct TDS on salary provide by them..if that salary higher than basic exemption limit than they liable to deduct TDS. but for 24Q u require to give full detail of income to your employee. so on the basic of information they deduct TDS.. so it is good to give detail your old salary detail to new co. because on salary TDS is deduct on the basic of earning.. no fixed rate basis like in interest or commission income.. so u provide detail to new co. u also provide your investment in 80c, 80D etc & TDS earlier deduct.. so new employee deduct tds on remaning income which liable to TAX..
