Sec.80G deduction cannot be considered by an employer and not to be show in Form 16. 80G need to claim by employee while filing the Return only
Would you please give some more information on this as I have allowed deductions under section 80 G to our employees and also shown the same in Form 16. Please help me with some specific section or notification which says that the same can't be allowed by employer.

Dear Sanjay please refer the notification No.1/2010 DT:11.1.2010 Page No.35 ,In this Employer can allow 80G deduction towards P.M/C.M other 80 donations can be claimed by taxpayer in Return and the copy of Notification sent your mail id also

I ahve missed that Circular. So employer can only consider the deduction under section 80G for Donation to Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund, the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund or the Lieutenant Governor’s Relief Fund and not other donations.
