Iam a accountant in company.We purchase goods(Chana dal, haldi masala etc)from a creditor MAA SAKTI TRADER.He provide his own transport for supply for goods also. He doesnot provided his pancard also.he make bill like this
Maa sakti traders chana dal Rs 1000000 haldi Rs 500000 freight charges Rs 40000 ========= total 1540000 ======== whether in this freight charges TDS is deducted or not.he supply his own truck,no pancard is given by him.

It appears that the sale takes place at your(customer) end. The amount of freight paid by you is in fact part of purchase transaction. No TDS in my view.

IF YOU ARE BOOKING TOTAL AMOUNT AS PURCHASE TDS IS NOT REQUIRED TO BE DEDUCTED. BUT IF YOU SHOW FREIGHT CHARGES SEPARATELY IN MY VIEW YOU WILL HAVE TO DEDUCT TDS.
