I am a shopkeeper with annual sales>50 Lacs. I am paying rs/ 1 Lac (one lac) per annum as salary to one of my employee. Now I come to know that he is also working to another place getting salary around 1 lac from there. whether I have to deduct TDS from that.

If there is any tax liability after considering all investment made by him during P/y. then only u have to deduct TdS. TDS will be deducted only at one place, so either u deduct it or ask him to submit a declaration that other employer will deduct it. other expert view are welcome that is why i still open this quarry.

If he has paid the tax while filing his return, then is there any liability to me.
