13 April 2015 if any person work as an employee in any firm on temporary basis then it is compulsory to deduct tds from his salary? is tds apply to only permanent basis salaried employee?

13 April 2015 If it is pursuant to a contract of employment, then you should deduct tax at source u/s 192. Even if it is on a temporary basis.

If it is a contract for service, I.e, on a contractual basis, you may treat it as coming u/s 194C.(If professionals- 194J).

14 April 2015 if it is on payroll then you have to deduct the tds under salary provision otherwise u/s 194 J tds will be deductible by you.
