dear sir i have received stipend in cash for 5 months and after that i took transfer from that ca firm and joined another..while submitting form 109 i have left blank the details of bank account, since i have no bank account at that time...now icai have send letter to furnish report of stipend to my previous employer....what can be done to encounter this promblem
The stipend under this regulation shall be paid by the principal to the articled assistant either (a) by a crossed account payee cheque every month against a stamped receipt to be obtained from the articled assistant; or (b) by depositing the amount every month in an account opened by the articled assistant in his own name with a branch of the bank to be specified by the principal.
So it will be better to not collect stipend in cash.

as per icai rules student should accept adn member should give stipend only in cheques . . however explain the same that you have collected in cash with a letter from your boss-----as there is no chance to proove that you have received in cheque

There is no other chance left to you knoe . . just make a letter convincingly from your boss explaining reason for giving in cash.. .. . and better make work diary for 5 months and send those workdiary along with reply to icai . . so it will be convincing that you have worked really and icai may accept
