what is current St Rate 14% or 14.28% for F.Y.15-16
from when is it going to be applicable, plz mention date ???????????????

26 March 2015 The Budget announced an increase in service tax from 12.36 per cent to 14 per cent for 2015-16.

26 March 2015 current rate to be followed is 12.36% only as there is no effective date is notified by department

26 March 2015 Please refer D.O.F. No. 334/5/2015-TRU Dated 28.02.2015 from link given below:

In Point No. 3.3 it is clearly mentioned that "The new Service Tax rate of 14% shall come into effect from a date to be notified by the Central Government after the enactment of the Finance Bill, 2015."

So till the new rates are notified Service Tax rate will be 12.36%.
