Service tax on subletting of immovable house property

This query is : Resolved

30 June 2013 whether service tax is levied on subletting of immovable house property on Cost to cost basis or subletting of house property may contain profit margin ?

02 July 2013 SUBLETTING IS ALSO SERVICE, HENCE TAXABLE.
YOU CAN TAKE THE CREDIT OF SERVICE RECEIVED AND CAN USE THE INPUT WHILE PAYMENT OF SERVICE TAX.

THOUGH IF ONE IS SUBLETTING FOR THE ACTUAL OWNER AS A PURE AGENT, I.E, NOT EARNING ANY PROFIT AND BILL IS IN NAME OF ACTUAL OWNER AMONG FEW OTHER CONDITIONS TO BE SATISFIED. THEN ONLY SUBLETTING WILL BE EXEMPT.
