12 November 2011 we are a importer for chemical & solvents which stored in custom bonded terminals.

we sold the material on bond transfer basis and collecting storage charges from buyer for delaying period of liftment in the manner of debit note

is this storage received chargable under service tax?

14 November 2011 In case you are collecting the charges by mentioning the storage charges then it will be covered in the Service. The categosry of this service is Storage & Warehouse Services. In case you cross the exemption limit then you will have to take the registration under Service tax under the above mentioned category...
