One of my claint running an educational institute under society registration.The society was taken a building for rent for Rs.1,00,000 per month. The lessor charged service tax on rent.In my openion educational society has no service tax liability.Now we have to pay the service tax on rent or not,kindly clarify.

service tax on rental is declared as ultra virus by Hobl'e Delhi High Court, even if service tax is being charged than society has to pay like it has to pay service tax on auditor's fee, telephone bills
