A. if Mr. A is suffering from Parkinsons and admitted to the hospital for treatment in 2009. He has to take medicine for the above on continues basis for life long. Can He claim Medicine Expenses every year without hospitalisation ? Condition > 40% is applicable or not ?
B. If Mr. A is suffering from Cancer and admitted to hospital for other treatment. Can He claim exp. u/s 80DDB also ?
In both the above case they have to take medicine for life long. Can they claim medicine exp bills every year u/s 80DDB ?
Is 10 I Certificate required for every financial year from govt. hospital to claim the exp ?
Which are the hospitals in Mumbai that will provide 10 I Certificate in both the above case ?

sec 80ddb says Any amt actually incurred (max 40,000) for Medical Treatment of Specified disease. section does not say hospitalisation is necessary. a.i believe u can take benefit since the amt incurred on medicins are part of treatemtn. b. if other treatment is for specified disease then yes. c.refer a. d. yes. e. Certificate from Specialist from ANY GOVT HOSPITAL. find out govt hospital in ur area.
