01 August 2012 Dear Experts,

I have a client who is Doctor and works in a reputed hospital full time. He receives fee (fix amount per month) net of TDS u/s.194J, hence he is covered under 44AA (as his income is >150,000 )

My question is whether the Doctor can be considered as a Medical practitioner from the above facts ?

01 August 2012 Eventhough he has to maintain the books of account yet he has not to maintain the patient register etc. which are required to be maintained by a medical practioner as his fixed remuneration is based on his services to the hospital.
