Sale from custom area ?

16 February 2013 Assessee is registered under DVAT and it imports some articles from outside India to sell these products in India. Does he sell these goods directly from the custom station in India to other parts of India without obtaining separate registration under the VAT laws of the respective state where custom station falls.

04 March 2013 joshi ji,

after importation importer paid the duty as per ITC CODE in custom Tariff.

thereafter if importer wish to sellout this goods to any person can sell but before sell the goods must write in account s of books

NAME OF IMPORTED GOODS , QUANTITY, CUSTOM DUTY PAID, BILL OF ENTRY NO. AND DATE MUST KEEP THE COPY OF BILL OF ENTRY FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

it means that importer can sell these goods from the custom station without obtaining separate registration under the VAT laws and raise the invoice from Delhi based registered premises under DVAT.
