From the year 2004-05 onwards an employer is paying an allowances to employee and now the employer is deducting the sum paid as allowance by saying that he (employer) was mistakenly given. Now my question is....
The aforesaid employee has filed the return of income for the aforesaid year showing the aforementioned allowance is his income and paid the tax accordingly. Now that employer is deducting that amount.
Whether the employee can get any refund from the income tax department. what will be the remedy

Please check the employer what is going to do the same with Form 16 if he shows the deduction in current year form 16 no need to revise the return.if the employer wants to do the previous year effect he has to revise all the old year TDS returns. better you ask employer make the current year deduction in form 16 and file and correct the current year, everything based in your employer form 16 only
