Hi guys, I have a query that is for AY 2013-14 ITR was efiled late on 04-08-2013 by a salaried person and he has not sent his ITRV till now, then what is to be done now. I read somewhere that one has to file a revise return and send the new ITRV. But, how can one revise return which was already filed late. Kindly help.

Technically the acknowledgement needs to be sent within 120 days, i.e. by 2 Dec 2013. If it is not received by the CPC by that date the Return is considereed invalid.
In this case he would need to file a fresh Original Return.
However I suggest you call the Helpline No (available on http://www.incometaxindia.gov.in) and ask them first.
