hello sir/madam i have a doubt regarding mediclaim ... if any employee of PSU unit has spend money on medical treatment.. and later on same received by him later on through cheque... whether it should be include in income first and then deduction under sec 80D ..or their is any other procedure.... plz frnds do rply ..

hello sir, but if the person has spend first on medical treatment ..and received after wards then with showing in income only taking deduction...will there be any penalty for this because by mistake i filled a return of PSU employees return. plz do rply

but sir if any person has already spent money from his salary for mediclaim ..then while receiving the amt of mediclaim why it should be added... because first we are spending money and then getting... plz do rply

Value of any benefit/amenity granted free or at concessional rate to specified employees is treated as perquisite as per sec. 17 (2) of the income tax act... therefore it will be taxable because this benefit provided by employer by way of reimbursement of the said mediclaim premium .......
