1-we are a registered dealer (having a tin no. )can we purchase any taxable goods from unregistered dealer , if yes is there is any tax liablity or penality we will have to pay to the sales tax dept.

30 April 2012 You can purchase goods from unregistered dealer. However at the time of assessment the VAT officer (if comes to his knowledge) can demand the VAT on unregistered purchase along with interest at the highest rate, this is called purchase tax and you have to pay this purchase tax.
