10 March 2014 please tell me when p.f. liability arise on employer and what is slab wages.is it applicble to worker or employee or both??????

10 March 2014 Any employee or worker whose salary/wages is less than Rs. 6500 is to be covered under the liability of PF.

10 March 2014 6500 is the slab for PF. any one above this limit is exempt.

12 March 2014 thanks and tell me one thing more that if a employee's salary is 10000 and employer wants to minimise his contribution then what amount he has to contribute??

12 March 2014 In case of the employees above 6500, it is not mandatory for the employer to contribute towards EPF A/c.

12 March 2014 However

Where the monthly pay of an employee exceeds six thousand five hundred rupees the contribution payable by him, and in respect of him by the employer, shall be limited to the amounts payable on a monthly pay of six thousand five hundred rupees.
