Proof of travel required for claiming LTA

22 January 2010 Dear Sir,

Please take a note that, if employee
claim LTA and his elibity of Rs. 36,000/-
p.a. but he is submitting proof of travel
of Rs. 30,000/-.
then Rs. 6,000/- is taxable.

but i saw article in economic time and
mentioned Proof of travel not required
for claiming LTA.

I request you please guide me regarding LTA proof of traval.

22 January 2010 Proof of travel not require for deduction of TDS. Deduction of TDS is to be done on the basis of declaration of employee, at that time proof not required. However assessee (employee) should keep it in record and whenever the assessee officer asked about proof employee has to submit the same

25 January 2010 Dear Sir,

Please take a note that, if employee
using LTA for this year and he will be
going out of india i.e. USA,
and he will be submitting Air ticket bill (Intenational) and hotel bill (Int.)
then in case we will be consider above details in LTA or NOT?

Please guide me?
