My current company's HR department is asking me for previous Income proof so as to calculate Tax on Salary from current employer. However I am of gut feeling that I need not to declare my previous Income & the current company can deduct TDS on Salaries as applicable from the current employer. They say that if I do not declare that the TAX from my current salary will be deducted on higher side for smooth year end closing. Please advice.
I need to confirm this ASAP. Request you to please give clarification on this. Also is there any declaration form to be submitted for declaration then which form is this Z& from where can I down load.
