Can anyone tell me whether it is necessary to be double graduate inorder to Practice or do job for Chartered Accountants of ICAI abroad? As I heard that being just a B.com is recognised as undergraduate abroad and doing only CA will not help and CAs who are just B.com will have to answer CA Exams of respected Abroad CA Institutes, but who are M.com and CA will not have to answer. Will doing CPA instead of M.com be a solution to the problem?

Getting a double degree or considering just B Com and CA is not the criteria for comparing the practice or Job abroad.
It all depends upon the institute and its eligibility criterias. ICAI has agreement with certain countries and also Indian CAs are authorised and permit to practice abroad in some countries, but not all. In some countries for practice you should be a memeber of their respective institutes.
Also, certain Institutes of some countries have signed MOUs with ICAI for membership and examinations. For Eg. UK & Australlia has an MOU with ICAI where in Indian CAs are exempted from some papers.
For more details check out the ICAI website and also the Particluar Countries CA or CPA websites which is provided as links on the ICAI website.
However, if you want to work abroad, then certainnly CPA is preferred as against M.Com.

Sonia, I have already expalined in my First Answer that in order to practice abroad, you need to fulfill the eligibilities of the respective country.
For a direct answer to your question, Double graduation is not the criteria which allows you to practice abroad.
Some countries, allows Indian CA's to Practice in their country while others not. For Ex. In US, whatever degree you hold, you need to Hold CPA Degree and for doing CPA you should fulfill the eligibility requirements of CPA. And your CA degree or graduation may help you in meeting the eleigibility criteria of doing CPA but not allows you directly to practice unless you complete your CPA. For their, eligibility requirements, please visit their site > www.aicpa.org and www.nasba.org.
