Ppf account closure

A subscriber had opened a PPF account with Rs. 70,000/- and made no further contribution. Now his account has completed 15 years and he wants to close it. Will he have to deposit any money or penalty?

visit the bank, as he is not going to contribute further, bank will honour request to close, but if the account is gone to dormant then it may get delayed for some time.
