Pan

This query is : Resolved

07 October 2011 Hi All,

One of my clients is running a business in a old Firm Name , Later he decided to change the firm name , so he applied new PAN for new Firm with different name , again he decided to continue with old name , but by that time he got the NEW PAN for new firm, will it cause any problem if he does not file any returns in new PAN as he is running the Firm in Old name and Old PAN ? Any suggesstions ?

07 October 2011 Having PAN does not indicate that you need to file returns compulsorily. Not to have any problems, it is better to resubmit the PAN card of new firm to IT department in case if there are no transactions that are going on in the firm.

Thanks,
CA M Sreenivasa Rao.
