This query is : Resolved

28 September 2015 I'm a NRI right now. For FY 2014-15, I was resident in India for 254 days. After that I migrated to USA. While I was in India I was employe and derieved salary income. After migrating to US I worked there and derieved Salary income. I've filed US income tax return by declaring Indian income also. Now I'm about to file Indian Income Tax return. My doubt is whether I've to declare US income since I've been told that for indian resident, global income is taxable. Also I don't know about Double Tax Avoidance Agreement between India and USA. Kindly help me.
Thanks

30 September 2015 Yes you have to declare US income in Indian return.

You can claim set off of credit of tax paid in US.

You can fill up the Income tax return and mail it for review to me at mehul@raseshca.com
