my one of friend has been received income tax letter :
1. The Income tax department has received information on financial activities relating to you. A list of some of the information for Financial year 2009-10 onwards is provided overleaf. As per records, you do not appear to have filed income tax returns for Assessment year 2010-11, 2011-12. 2. You are requested to furnish your response in the enclosed proforma ( Share transactions of rs. 20000/- or more) to the undersigned by post within 10 days. please note that your personal presence or presence of any authorised representative is not required. 3. If no reply is received. within specified time, it will be inferred that you have not filed income tax returns for the relevant assessment years and proceeding under income tax act, 1961 may be initiated.
Hi is not filed income tax returns from f.y 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13 due to non eligible under income tax. but before f. y 2009-10 hi was filed it retuns f.y 2006-07

If he has below taxable limit Income then provide details of major transactions done by him. Like purchase of shares or any other investment along with income derived by him.

thanks for information sir but i have one doubt it is necessary to while provide information should be provide document evidence for income derived example salary income if we did not forma 16 how can i reply
