Mvat and cst

My client has paid RS 5600/- under Mvat Act but he was liable to pay under cst Act. can he take credit of this payment or he will be liable to pay again under cst act?

Claim cr. for tax paid in local return which will result in excess payment. Adjust excess payment against CST return. Need not pay CST again.
