Is there any maximum amount which can be paid to a transporter who is having PAN, during a financial year or there is no limit mean to say that any amount can be paid to the transporter without TDS if he provides his PAN

sub section 6 of section 194C specifically referred that no deduction shall be made from any sum credited or paid during the previous year to the account of a contractor during the course of business of playing, hiring or leasing goods carriages on furnishing of his permanent account number. There is no maximum celing limit etc. Any payment to transporter can be made without TDS for transportation services subject to he has furnishing his PAN detail.
