18 April 2009 We had availed the LTA benefit in our travel during dec 2007.Now we are planning another vacation to get the benefit of LTA.
Is it necessary to start and finish the journey by Dec 2009,or can we avail the LTA benefit also incase the travel gets over sometime in first week of Jan 2010.
also what happens in case we plan a trip in 2010.Will the LTA amount be taxed.

Also pls let me know am i entitle to taxfree LTA for 2008-2009 which i have not used.,or anypart of it will be taxable.

18 April 2009 the date of journey must be in the year 2009.

if you havent used one or both of the LTA you can use the same in first year of next block

19 April 2009 Can i book ticket for my LTA in dec 2009,travel during feb-march 2010?
Will i get the entire amount due to me ,also will it be taxfree.What is the limit for taxable LTA?
