Letter to department

07 October 2011 I need to draft a manual letter to the income tax department intimating the change in jurisdiction of the assessee, the return for AY 11-12 has been filed.
What would be the content of the letter and what would be the enclosures required?

07 October 2011 In this case we need to see what is the reason for change in jurisdiction of the assessee.

If the address of the assessee has been changed since last return, a application for changing the address can be made by way of filing the Form - "Change in PAN Particulars". The Form is available at www.tin-nsdl.com

After, the change of address in online records, the Jurisdiction will change as per the new address.

07 October 2011 If you have filed e-return, then no need to intime change in jurisdiction. From wherever u file it will automatically reach to jurisdictional A.O.



07 October 2011 The PAN No has been changed already before filing of the return and the same has been used to file the E-return, yet on the income-tax site, in know your jurisdiction, it shows the old jurisdiction...
the change is due to change in address.

07 October 2011 The ROC has been updated with the change, how do i proceed with the I.Tax Dept?

2. I have changed my address from the old address to new address as mentioned here in above.
3. The Xerox copy of evidence in form of Rent Receipt is enclosed herewith for your ready reference.
4. The necessary changes have also been made at the Income Tax PAN Service Unit, copy of the same is enclosed for your ready reference.
5. As per restructuring and PIN CODE wise details my new Jurisdictional A.O. is :-

You are kindly requested to send our entire assessment records for and up toA.y..2010-
