I had filed by IT Return on 23/12/2015 and sent by ITR V by speed post on 23/12/2015 to CPC Bangalore.which was recd on 26/12/2015 as per speed post receipt but they are showing it as received on 28/12/2015; hence the status is showing as" received after due date". My query is (A) Who should i contact about this - CPC or AO? (B) If no solution is found, then will I have to file normal/original return or revised return? I m asking this coz the original return filed in December will be null and void. (C) Will interest u/s 234A be applicable? I had refund in original return. Please reply ASAP

ITR V should be received by the CPC within 120 days of e-filing of return. You may check the status. It would have been showing the status as ITR received. You need not to do worry as you have recently filed the return on 23/12/2015.

In FAQ of Income Tax website they have written "The Form should be printed, signed and submitted to CPC, Bangalore using Ordinary Post or Speed Post ONLY within 120 days from the date of e-Filing." The key word here is "submitted". I have proof that I have SUBMITTED the ITR V before 120 days. Kindly answer the question which I had asked. On the IT website it is already showing " ITR received after due date"

Generally CPC provides extension for submitting the ITR V every year. You may wait for such a notification. A link to refer notification 1/2015 is being given for your king reference- https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/eFiling/Portal/StaticPDF/itr_v_extension_notification.pdf . You can not file 2 original returns. Also the same is the story with the revised return- it can be filed only when your original return has been filed. If you have refund in the original return then Section 234A will not come into play as there was no tax payable. You have to calmly wait for a few days and have to check the mail from CPC as well as status of ITR.
