hi i want to know from this year every salaried person has to file Itr-2 because i don't think any salaried person have exempted income less than 5000 for itr-1, every employee has exemption of hra & conveyance.

HRA and Conveyance allowance are deduction and not exempted income. Exempted income is like interest from PPF, Dividend etc. So ITR1 can be filed.
This Rs 5000 exempted income rule was there in last year as well.
