ITR for F Y 2008-09 & 2009-10

19 January 2011 Dear sirs/mams,
I am an insurance advisor having gross monthly income of 15000/- Since I never filed my ITR. So ...
1) Can I file my itr now for the F Y 2008-09 & 2009-10?
2) Can I get my refunds since my TDS dedn. are 17000/- & 15500/- for the yrs.

19 January 2011 Yes, you can file the income tax returns for the FY 2008-09 before the expiry of one year from the end of the relevant assessment year. That means for AY is 2009-10 & end of 1 year means FY 2010-11, that means you can file the return till 31st March 2011 for FY 2008-09.

Apply same logic for FY 2009-10, that means you can file the return upto 31st March 2012.
