It has been 6 months of filing ITR but my client has not received intimation u/s 143(1) for A.Y. 2019-20 neither the refund as his ITR is not processed yet. He has claimed refund of 66,000 rupees. What should I do now?
For A.Y. 2019-20 I filed return u/s 44AD declaring profit @6% approx of turnover being 1.10 crore rupees.
For A.Y. 2018-19 it was an volunteer audit even though turnover was 77 Lakhs.

As per current income tax laws, the time limit to process ITRs by the tax department is within one year from the end of the financial year in which ITR was filed. Thus, your ITR must be processed by March 31, 2021 for the return filed for FY 2018-19.
So, there is nothing you can do but wait for the CPC to process your return and grant your refund.

Thank you kaushal sir for your reply. Sir why did they took so much time? Are they have any doubts in my return? Are they gathering any information to issue a scrutiny to me? or beacause my refund amunt is higher? I got this questions beacause I switched to section 44AD in A.Y. 2019-20 from AUDIT in A.Y. 2018-19.

In rare cases CPC takes time to process returns. You don't have to worry about it. There must be some technical glitch. The refund amount is certainly not that huge which requires them to collect information to scrutinize your return. Wait and watch.
