19 August 2014 if i received a invoice from service provider ,
invoice date is 29th July
invoice receiving Date on 31st July
entry Date in tally is 2nd August
now just i want to know journal entry date in tally is right and will effect of TDS if we make entry on 2nd august .

19 August 2014 For service tax purpose, invoice date is date of issue of invoice.

For TDS purpose, credit of a/c of service provider is relevant for tax deduction.

19 August 2014 Dear mam
i just want to know that entry in tally of invoice received on which date make.

20 August 2014 In the given situation, technically the entry should be on 31st July i.e., the date of receipt of invoice. But even if you book the invoice there will not be an issue. TDS to be deducted on date of payment or credit whichever is earlier. So the date on which you are booking the bill should be the date on which TDS should be deducted.

20 August 2014 you make always make entry when the invoice of service received and for purchases bill when you received the goods in your factory/shop premises. and the same date you have to deduct the tds etc.
